Morreton Hats & Jean Desnos

After publishing my previous post I realised that, unusually, I had never Googled the name on the label - Morreton Hats. I found these three illustrations by Jean Desnos online here, along with loads of other great French fashion drawings of the period by other artists, but no more than that; no information about him, the company or the original publications.
I am presuming he was the illustrator of my label for now, although the label looks a little more late fifties or early '60's to me.
Any thoughts?
I'll endeavour to search deeper.

Favourite Label

Definitely one of the top three from my label collection.

Soul Girls

My Holy Grail of footwear, age ten.
These have never been worn, a bargain at £12.
Four sizes too small for me, unfortunately.
I still love the way they look and I know exactly the outfit they'd be worn with but if in doubt, check out any mid 1970's issue of Jackie comic for inspiration.

Romania

Six years ago I designed a film which was shot in Romania, it was the toughest working environment I have experienced on any film; we're not exactly saving lives so it really shouldn't be such a tough experience.
Only recently have I been capable of talking or thinking about it without breaking out into an anxious sweat.
Now I appreciate all that I saw; the people look amazing, the packs of dogs roaming free are incredible to witness and the country, a fascinating frontier between East and West.

One thing leads to another

Because I designed the costumes for Moon, I was asked to design a similar, miniature version of the spacesuit for BBC2's upcoming education season and because children can't work long hours or do stunts we had a small person, Arti Shah, working inside the suit until very late last night.
It looked extremely cute.
