The Rag Fair in Houndsditch

Today's Spitalfields Life has a great posting about the Old Houndsditch Rag Fair with interesting costume details in the illustrations and this John Thomson photograph.
I keep meaning to find out more about the Bishopsgate Institute where these pictures are from, The Gentle Author's previous posts have whetted my appetite but I never seem to have any spare time to go there.
