It looks early seventies to me, cute label.

A quick google found nothing.

A Tiny 1950's Bastille Day Costume

I recently borrowed some vintage fancy dress items from Shona Patterson.
This tiny Bastille Day costume was too small for our needs but I had to record it because it is so cute. The fit is for a two to three year old, and looks to me like it's from the fifties but that is pure guesswork. The hand finish adds to its charm. I think it was very lovingly made.

I would have had to work really hard to create masks that looked like kids had made them.
Always best to go straight to the source - Thanks Nancy.

The excellent kids costumes on Sweet Juniper are enough to put the professionals to shame.

Cowboy Fancy Dress

Look what popped through the letterbox yesterday. A fabulous gift from fellow Costume Designer, Sharon Long, this cowboy shirt is exactly what the little fella needs for his first fancy dress party ... we can't wait for the invite, there's room for growth so no pressure!
We'll have a wee practice meantime, I'll make some chaps and a hat in preparation...

FANCY DRESS

Halloween in the time of Cholera.
Whilst rummaging around on Flickr, I found this amazing set in the collection of stevechasmar.
Thanks to Steve for letting me add this link, his whole Flickr page is worth a look, the Opium Museum and Arcade and Souvenir Photo's are particularly worth checking out.
